MEET JO DEMARCO!

IMG_5647.jpg

As an Ada/Cascade resident for almost 30 years, I’ve grown to love the Ada community more and more each year.  My work and business affairs as Senior Vice President of Human Resources have taken me around the country and while I’ve enjoyed experiencing other regions and cultures, the “no place like home” slogan grew in my heart with each trip I took.  Experiencing the growth in Ada has made me more enthusiastic about living here!  The remarkable new boutiques and shops offer specialized and distinctive merchandise that attracts customers from all areas.  The new restaurants provide expanded opportunities for Ada Villagers and neighbors in other towns to relax, socialize and enjoy exceptional dining.  As Amway relocates their California offices to Ada, our commercial growth will continue, bringing revenue and jobs to us.  It’s a very exciting time indeed for Ada residents.  Positive growth in a community inevitably brings change.  Welcoming change with enthusiasm enables you to realize opportunities for improvement and beneficial development.

I’ve been active in our community, experiencing our new stores, restaurants and markets as well as engaging in election work.  I believe in that work now more than ever.  I am a credentialed Poll Challenger, Election Inspector and Chairperson for Early Voting, In Person/Election Day voting and Absentee voting, working all positions throughout Kent, Macomb, Oakland and Wayne Counties.  I love this work as well as the people I’ve met along the way.  I stand for honesty and transparency in all things, but particularly in our election processes.  Kent County election procedures are exactly that…honest, transparent and accountable.  My confidence in that belief comes from my own journey to develop, grow and apply knowledge regarding them.  I strive to demonstrate the best of my abilities in all I do and consequently, I am confident that my blend of skills and accomplishments qualify me to effectively serve as your Ada Township Clerk.  It would be my honor to join the current and incredible Ada Township team, working compatibly for our mutual benefit.  Your vote will allow me to do that and I humbly ask for your support and vote this August 6th (primary election) and November 5th (general election).
